Purism, a privacy-focused company that develops the popular Librem laptops and smartphones, has launched a new edition of Free Mini Linux PC.
Eight months after the unveiling of the Librem Mini small computer, Purism has released the second generation, which is powered by a new 7th generation Intel Core i10510-10U processor (Comet Lake) with clock speeds of up to 4,9GHz, 4 cores and 8 threads. It has an Intel UHD Graphics 620 card, so the new mini PC is much faster and more efficient.

The Librem Mini v2 has RAM up to 64 GB DDR4 2400MHz, up to 4TB 6GB / s SATA III SSD or HDD and M.2 SSD, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 ports that provide video playback up to 4K at 60fps, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB Type-C 3.1 port.
The mini computer can also come with an optional wireless 802.11n Wi-Fi card that supports 2,4 GHz/5,0 GHz networks and Bluetooth 4.0, as well as a 3,5 mm audio jack with microphone and headphones.
Prices for the Librem Mini Linux v2 start at $ 699, according to the official website. The price of 699 USD is for the basic configuration with 8 GB RAM, 250 GB disk, 1 year warranty and without wireless connection.
