How to turn off Windows Insider in Windows 10

All computers running Windows 10 include and run Windows Insider (wisvc), regardless of whether or not users participate in Windows Insider.

There are 3 ways to turn off Windows Insider.
a. Via the service console
b. Via command line
c. Via PowerShell

A] Disable the Windows Insider service via the service console

Step 1: Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
Step 2: In the Execute dialog box, type services.msc and press Enter to open Services.
Step 3: In the Services window, scroll to and locate the Windows Insider Service entry. If you have Greek Windows you will find it as a "Windows Insider Service". If you have English then look for "Windows Insider service".
Step 4: Double-click the entry to open its properties window.
Step 5: In the Properties window, on the General tab, click the drop-down menu that says "Startup Type:" and select "Disabled".
Step 6: Click the Apply button and then OK to save the changes.
You can now exit the Service Console.

2] Disable the Windows Insider service via the command line

Step 1: Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
Step 2: In the Execute dialog box, type cmd, and then press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to open the Command Prompt / Override command prompt.
Step 3: In the Command Prompt window, type or copy and paste the following command and press Enter.

sc config "wisvc" start= disabled

Step 4: Close the command prompt window.

3] Disable Windows Insider through PowerShell

Step 1: Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
Step 2: In the Run dialog box, type powershell.exe, and then press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to open the Command Prompt in elevator / elevated mode.
Step 3: On the PowerShell console, type or copy and paste the following command and press Enter.

Set-Service wisvc -StartupType Disabled

Step 4: You can now exit the PowerShell console.
