Η team Manjaro Linux developer today announced the availability of Manjaro Linux 20.2 as the second release for the Manjaro Linux 20 series of Arch Linux-based GNU/Linux distributions.
With the name “Nibia”, Manjaro Linux 20.2 brings all the latest technologies GNU/Linux and open source software.
Compared to Manjaro 20.1, Manjaro Linux 20.2 upgrades the user interface KDE Plasma from Plasma version 5.19 to the latest Plasma 5.20.4 and the GNOME desktop from version 3.36 to the latest GNOME version 3.38.2.
On the other hand, the new version of Manjaro Linux also has the lightweight Xfce 4.14 user interface, as Xfce 4.16 is still in development and is expected to be released in early 2021.
If you like the Cinnamon environment, you'll also find the latest version of Cinnamon 4.8 in software repositories.
The new Manjaro Nibia release runs the latest Linux 5.9 kernel series for better hardware support, uses the Pamac package manager updated to version 9.5.12, and includes many other upstream updates.
If you want to install the Manjaro distribution on your computer, you can download the Xfce, GNOME and KDE Plasma images as ISO from official site. All three versions run on the long-term supported Linux 5.4 LTS kernel.
