Azure Government Top Secret cloud from Microsoft

Microsoft has released Azure Government Top Secret, a new cloud offering for those who need it classified (Top Secret). The new offering joins the existing Azure Cloud family available to US government users, including Azure Government and the Azure Government Secret - together with Azure public cloud.

Microsoft is working with the US government. to get certified for the Top Secret cloud. Its executives s said on Dec. 7 that the company has finished building new clouds for Azure Government Top Secret, according to ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley.

Microsoft also announced a new functionality for the Azure Government Secret cloud, which is used in the Ministry of the United States, by law enforcement and other agencies. The Government Secret cloud has been approved by DoD as Impact Level 6 and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503. Windows Virtual Desktop is now available on Azure Government with FedRAMP High certification, Microsoft officials said.

Microsoft's Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Instances are already available on Government Secret. In security, Azure , the proactive threat management service and Azure Security Center are also available in the Government Secret cloud.

Microsoft also announced availability zones for Azure Government today. Availability Zones. Availability zones have been created to handle data center failures through redundancy and logical isolation of services. There are also devices in the cloud, such as Azure edge-computing, Azure Modular Datacenter, and the durable versions of Azure Stack Hub, Azure Stack Edge Pro and Azure Stack Edge Mini R.

The Azure Modular Datacenter - available in Levels 5 and 6 - acquires a new high-availability network module for network durability through multiple satellite partners, as well as a high-availability power module.

The Azure Modular Datacenter is a portable version of an Azure data center that currently runs the Azure Stack and is available to government customers as well as those who need portable data centers that have the option of satellite connection.
