Η Google, along with speech therapist Richard Cave, has developed an experimental Android application designed to provide people with speech problems with a way to communicate so they can express themselves.
Look to Speak uses technology engineeringeye learning and 'reading' to allow users to use their eyes, looking left, right or up to select from a list of phrases. Their phone broadcasts the phrases vocally. The application also allows editing of a user's phrases.
Some of the phrases include: Hello, thank you, yes and no.
“As mobile devices are ubiquitous and quite powerful, with technologies such as engineering μάθηση, σκέφτηκα τρόπους με τους οποίους τα τηλέφωνα μπορούν να λειτουργούν παράλληλα με τις υποστηρικτικές τεχνολογίες. Αυτά τα εργαλεία μπορούν να ανοίξουν νέες possibilities,” Cave reports in one Publication on the Google blog.
Cave believes that Look to Speak could be used as extension of the existing one technology eye.
"We do not replace strong auxiliary communications, because they are very functional. "Look to Speak is for important short messages where other auxiliary communications can not give immediately".
