According to the company, Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) has already carried out more than 230 emergency missions for COVID-19 worldwide since the pandemic began in March.

MCS has developed the Vaccination Registration and Administration solution (VRAS from the Vaccination Registration and Administration Solution). This system, as its name implies, handles the evaluation, registration and scheduling of vaccine distribution. It can monitor and report the progress of immunization through secure data exchange using standards such as Health Level Seven, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and other APIs. Health care providers and pharmacies can monitor and report the effectiveness of specific vaccine batches with the same tool.

Several Microsoft partners use Microsoft cloud services to provide additional support for vaccine management with interoperability and integration with existing registration systems (predictive analytics and secure communications).
