Windows 10 permanently disable Adobe Flash

At December 31 2020, Adobe discontinued it forever. So all users should uninstall it από τα Windows 10 και τα browsing.

Adobe has already started showing a Flash Player pop-up window in Windows 10. Later this month or next month, a Windows 10 update will be released through Windows Update and WSUS to remove the software.

But Microsoft has already released an update entitled "Update for the removal of Adobe Flash Player ”through the Update Catalog. At the moment the update is optional.

The same update will be released via Windows Update and WSUS in the coming weeks.

The purpose of the update as mentioned above is to remove Flash Player from the operating system , but there is a catch – it will only remove Flash from the Control Panel.

Once the update is implemented, Microsoft says it will only remove the Flash Player that is associated with Windows 10 and you will not be able to run it again. The update, however, will not affect the user-installed browsers and Flash Player. For example, it will not remove PPAPI and NPAPI versions of Flash if they were installed by you.

According to the roadmap, Microsoft plans to remove Flash Player from the Edge browser through a separate update in January.

Microsoft he warned that the update cannot be uninstalled after its application. So if you still want to run Flash programs, you should use emulators.

To make sure that the Windows you are using still does not have some Adobe Flash components installed, look at the settings, Applications and Features and uninstall them manually.
