Transport concepts like hyperloops they show us what our future will be like. The idea of being able to travel between major cities in minutes rather than hours is definitely exciting.
But for now it is just an idea and as it seems very far from reality.
If you need something a little closer to reality, check out this new magnetic train (maglev) from China.
The prototype presented by researchers at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu China, seems to be different from other maglev trains. Instead of using liquid helium superconductors at -269 degrees Celsius, the researchers implemented high-temperature superconductors, which operate at -196 degrees Celsius and are much cheaper to produce and mode.
This particular train could deliver tripa high speeds to even more people in the country. A commercially viable version of the new maglev train is expected to be rolled out within the next six years.
