Windows 10 LTSC support 5 years without telemetry

Along with the release versions for Windows 10 users of version 21H2 (consumer releases), Microsoft will update the Enterprise channel with a new LTSC version. LTSC versions of Windows 10 were supported with 10-year (Long-Term Servicing Channel) updates.

But soon Microsoft is reducing this support period to 5 years from 2021.

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC will be released in the second half (H2) of 2021, and the only version that will continue to be supported for 10 years will be Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC. Windows 10 LTSC will be supported for 5 years, like the upcoming one Office 2021.

Microsoft said it took this step because it was found that many companies did not use and did not need the 10-year support framework.

All older LTSC versions will continue to have 10 years of support. The change will come with the upcoming Enterprise LTSC release. More you can find here.

Windows 10 LTSC has a number of notable differences from Windows 10 Home or Pro.

For example, LTSC versions allow the user to turn off Telemetry and data collection completely. Windows 10 LTSC also comes without Universal apps installed.

It should be mentioned that there is no legal way to get this version in your home or even a small one . Microsoft releases LTSC builds to large companies and they offer many extras for any enterprise environment.
