28 January 2014. This means that today it is Privacy Day. It sounds a little bit ironic, it has been established a day of personal data protection and the publications with NSA's actions do not stop appearing.
Nevertheless, we celebrate the Day and its significance, sitting comfortably and surfing the internet, accepting the cookies of each website that records our movements.
Άραγε πως θα ήταν με ένα ελεύθερο διαδίκτυο; Ίσως αυτή η ερώτηση να απασχολεί τα παιδιά σας, 10-20-30 χρόνια μπροστά. Η επερχόμενη εποχή μάλλον θα είναι μια εποχή ίδρυσης του Internet των λίγων, με τις μάζες να σερφάρουν σε νερά πισίνας αν παρομοιάσουμε το διαδίκτυο με ωκεανό. Οι λίγοι και εκλεκτοί (ονόματα δεν λέμε) που θα έχουν τον έλεγχο θα μπορούν να μας γνωρίζουν better από ότι εμείς γνωρίζουμε τους ίδιους μας τους εαυτούς, αφού θα έχουν ανακαλυφθεί tools Big Data analysis.
Utopia, is that all this disaster, too much? 2013 has demonstrated through official US secret service documents that nothing goes unnoticed and that there is no privacy yet and if the computer is closed.
What are we waiting for; To this question, there is no answer. Perhaps the answer is a random event. Something that will rouse the gripped almost crippled masses from their couches, and lead them to remind every government that they are entitled to the protection of their personal data. The demand, however, usually disappears, as we know very well at Greece, with a simple promise. Or until recently with a position in the Public Sector.
Even if there is a random accidental event (see Alexis's death) and there are conflicts, they soon turn out. They disappear because there is no living vision, and if there is it is flattened under the cushion of the couch.
Really can not dream, another world? A free Internet of many and not the few?
