Following its announcement last month, Facebook has started making the feature available to the public supportof 360-degree photos. Once the feature is rolled out to you, you'll be able to upload 360-degree images just like you do regular ones photos.
Facebook says you can simply upload panoramic photos from your phone - or take a photo with a proper 360-degree fit or a camera (like the Ricoh Theta S) and then upload it like you would any other image .
The images will appear as 360 cartoons in your friends' feed, to show that anyone who wants can play with them.
It is unknown at this time what he meant by "panoramic." It means photos that we can see from all angles, or it will just allow a partial view.
The company says you'll be able to watch 360 photos with VR devices as well. If you have, say, a smartphone Samsung and one device Gear VR, you can tap “View in VR” from the top left corner to view the image in 360 degrees.
At this time, the new feature does not yet support Google Cardboard, which is a much more affordable device, but let's hope it's just a matter of time.
