A new poll from Windows Report, is trying to fire up users' attitudes towards Windows 11. According to the poll, more than half of the voters will upgrade to Windows 11 when it comes out in a stable version.
Respondents appear to be fans of Windows, as 51% of respondents are already Windows Insiders. An extra 17% are not Insiders now, but they plan to try out Windows 11 before they are released.
New features
The poll also asked for an evaluation of the new features of Windows 11, in an attempt to determine what their favorite new feature is. Surprisingly, the main Start menu, which everyone was whining about from the beginning, came out first with 35% of the votes.
Native application support Android won the second largest vote with 26%. Xbox Game Pass and Auto HDR tied for 13% of the vote.
Minimum requirements
While the poll shows an overall positive view of Windows 11, not all is good news for Microsoft's new operating system. Nearly a quarter of those polled did not pass the Windows 11 minimum requirements or could not pass the PC Health Check test.
More than a third of the respondents do not know whether the computer meets the minimum requirements. This final number is probably related to the fact that 42% of respondents do not know what it is chip TPM.
Appearance.
In addition, people are divided over the appearance of Windows 11. Just over half of voters (53%) say that Windows 11 looks amazing and they look forward to installing it.
About one in five (21%) of respondents say it is quite similar to Windows 10. A smaller but significant proportion of people (13%) said they did not like the look of Windows 11.
Touch
Windows 11 is focusing on touch again and it seems that people are willing to try it. One third of respondents are willing to turn to a touch device when the new operating system is released.
At research over 11.000 users in 177 countries participated. Of those who participated, 89% are Windows 10 users. Really, what are you going to do?
