"According to the data of Check Point Research (CPR) global cyber attacks have increased by 28% in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the same of the previous year. However, it is interesting that in Greece, for the same period, attacks increased by 64% compared to the previous year recording an average of 813 attacks per week on organizations.”

“In trying to interpret the cause of this increase, we should not overlook the fact that there is a particularly increased activity of cyber attacks associated with the Russia war-which may affect Greece as well. However, I think the main reason is that attack groups around the world have acquired special dynamics and the right tools to lure their targets every day, achieving attacks that ensure them a large profit.”

"In this landscape, Greek businesses and government organizations that have objectively made leaps in digital transformation and cyber security shielding, must continue at the same pace with investments and cyber security strategy, reducing the risk of an imminent attack .”
