A hacker with the alias Johnny Cockring breached on Friday two giant billboards in Alabama, America and broadcast pictures porn.
The violation took place one day after the revelation of the famous hacker Andrew Auernheimer, also known as Weev, that some giant LED advertising signs connected to the Internet can be violated using the original codes.
Weev reported on Thursday: "There are a lot of giant LED billboards in Shodan. their initial passwords are admin / admin ”!!!.
Less than 24 hours later, Johnny Cockring took advantage of the flaw. She went into the planning of the signs and added porn images to the existing playlist.
The strange thing is that a day before Auernheimer who discovered and disclosed the vulnerability said he reached outside the offices of the company that handles the signs to warn them about the issue. Someone from company it seems he didn't take him seriously.
This is not the first time hackers have broken insecure billboards to make a prank. Last year, someone replaced an ad on a billboard in Atlanta (back there) with a giant image of a man who was unnaturally tilted by stretching his hindquarters.
