Having trouble activating Windows 10? But what about those who have tried many times this way and because of a bug Windows 10 is not turned on?
In our case, on an Acer laptop, the installation of Windows 10 was normally up to 54% and stopped by pointing to APPLY_IMAGE.
After many searches on thenetwork, to no avail, we were able to install the new OS when we said we don't want to keep the previous user's files and data.
So the installation though done through Windows 7 (the previous operating system) was a clean installation of Windows 10.
Of course after that activation was impossible.
As of today Microsoft offers the solution for such activation issues. Of course a prerequisite is to have a legal one activation key older operating system (Windows 7, 8, 8.1)
You can call toll free on 8015003000 and follow the instructions. Select that you are interested in activating and proceed until you speak to someone againstface of Microsoft. (No automated help)
The support department will ask for your old activation key, check it to confirm its validity, and request your details.
These include name, surname, phone number and your personal e-mail.
After a while (about a quarter), the company will call you to give you a Windows 10 activation key.
The key will be sent to you via e-mail and the Microsoft representative will remain on the line until activation occurs.
Note: The old activation key will be canceled, and can not be used again to activate Windows 7 or Windows 8, 8.1.
