Remove Bing results from Windows search

Last week, Microsoft officially confirmed that Windows 11 build 26H2 is currently being tested on the experimental Insider channel. The company released some details about the build, which are mainly aimed at IT administrators and system administrators. Essentially, build 26H2 will be released via an activation package (eKB) via Windows 11 25H2.

It should be mentioned that one of the upcoming features of the next version of Windows is certainly very interesting, as Microsoft has confirmed that it is finally bringing a feature that many users have requested.

March Rogers, Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the improvements to Search that the company is testing in X. Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results within Search. This is something that many users find quite annoying, as Windows often showed them links to Bing rather than what they were searching for on their computer.

Windows fan phantomofearth, who loves to delve into new releases, has revealed the IDs you'll need to enable these features. Using the feature IDs below, you can use the new Search-related features in Windows 11 26H2.

To enable the new Search experience you'll need several IDs:
61267302, 61344081, 61482515, 61532758, 61760679

Make sure 48433719 is enabled (should be enabled on most Experimental installs already) if this doesn't work.

Follow these steps to enable the new search experience in Windows 11 build 26300.8697:

Download it ViveTool from GitHub and extract the files into a folder.
Press Win + X and open Terminal (as Administrator).
Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Line profile with the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+2 or by clicking the down arrow button at the top of the window.

Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive.
Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter.
Restart your computer.

If you change your mind and want to revert, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands.

Once you disable web search and other such features, Windows 11 search becomes faster.
