The Zephyr S aircraft, which has also been described as a drone as well as a pseudo-satellite, took off from the US military's Yuma Test Range in Arizona in June.

It was built to stay in the air for long periods of time, and serves as a sensor platform for the military. Zephyr S spotted online flight tracker after taking off from a Yuma Proving Ground airstrip on June 15.

Airbus has been conducting test flights with the Zephyr S over this area for some time now, but according to the flight tracker, the drone also began flying southeast near the Arizona border and southwest toward the Gulf of Mexico.

On June 27, the Zephyr S flew over the Gulf of Mexico before flying over the Caribbean Sea and then into Central American airspace.

Last week, the aircraft returned to the US. When the Zephyr S first flew in 2018, it stayed in the sky for nearly 26 days.

This time we do not know if his flight will last even longer than this milestone which is also a world record.
