The websites Tree.fm and Sounds of the Forest contain a growing collection of recordings from the forests of the world.
We love the weird stuff one can find on Internet, that's why today we present to you two websites that have collected recordings of forest sounds from all over the world, giving you a taste of a sound map of the Earth.
Tree.fm
The Tree.fm currently has 39 forest sounds for touring and enjoyment. Some are quiet, some noisy full of birds and wild animals or water sounds and some with some human touches.

The sound map Sounds of the Forest collects forest sounds from around the world, creating a growing acoustic map.
Visit the site to browse the forests by geographical location around the world and click on the icon to listen. The website is not perfect, as you can find a forest sound that is not in the right place on the map. For example, there is a forest in Portugal that is on the east coast of the USA on the map.
From Greece it has a sound from the forest in Karpenisi, one from Zagorochoria and one from Samothrace.
