Google Maps for Android mobile shows your vehicle as arrow. Now, in her latest update applications, you can change your vehicle icon to something different.
Google Maps for Android could not be changed appearance of your car icon on the map. So far. See how you can do this and therefore personalize the application even more.
The new feature should already be available on your Android device. Your device is running Google Maps version 10.52.2 or later.
If you do not know the current version of the Maps application, you can search for it through the list of your installed applications in the Google Play Store. You will notice that the version number appears there, in the "Application Description" section. You just have to move a little bit down.

step 1. Launch the app on your Android mobile phone and ask it to go to a location. It does not matter which one, as long as the navigation function is active.
Now if the app is in the default status, your vehicle location on the map will be shown as the classic symbol arrow as shown below.
step 2. Click this arrow symbol and a surprise will appear. The app will ask you to choose how you want your car to look on the map.
At the time of writing, you have four options. The first is the default arrow you are trying to get rid of. And then there are three other options. A red car, a yellow one, and a green truck.
step 3. Click on the car of your choice and it will be displayed immediately on the map. Of course, you can change your mind as many times as you want.
This is a great way to make Google Maps a little more colorful. It would be nice to see more car (and maybe motorcycle) symbols. Hopefully they will be available in the future.
