Converting the user's smartphone to a virtual reality interface (VR) is the goal of the device-accessory Altergaze, which "climbed" to Kickstarter with a view to obtaining funding.
Visually, it is somewhat reminiscent of the old game "Viewmaster", and according to its creators, it aims to make virtual reality "mainstream". The device is described as a "virtual reality interface", which uses the mobile phone to provide a high-end VR experience quality στον χρήστη. Virtual reality as a place of consumer interest had emerged in the 1990s, but it was an unsuccessful attempt. However, it seems that its "total recovery" is underway, largely due to the ambitious Oculus Rift, which was recently acquired by Facebook, marking the turn of the giant social media to the object in question.
