Police surrounded a woman's car on Thursday, "pulled out their guns and told her to get out with her hands up," a local news channel reports . Police thought they were stopping a murder suspect, but "it turned out to be another department's mistake with Flock license plate reading technology."
The woman said she wanted to call her mother, "but I thought if I make a sudden move, it will be over. It will end my life."
Oddly enough, the same thing happened on Monday, according to a local news report. “Milwaukee police stopped her at gunpoint. The officers never explained why they did it, towed her car to the station and let her go.”
The woman is frustrated and describes herself as "hurt," remembering two unjust arrests, one on Thursday and one on Monday.
“After they handcuffed us, they escorted us to the car. I don’t know what’s going on. I’m scared. All you see are people in their cars recording.” She now says she’s afraid to drive her car, as is her daughter. “I don’t know if the police will stop us if we do it again…”
"I haven't slept since this happened. Every time I close my eyes, all I see are guns."
The unfortunate woman is asking for an apology, after local police only stated that it wasn't her fault , it was the Milwaukee Police Department's fault for failing to remove the license plate from Flock's system.
Milwaukee police stressed that it was not a problem with Flock's camera, it was a data entry error," according to the local report.
