Recall and withdrawal of ULEFONE NOTE 16 PRO mobile phone

EETT, with its decision number 1157/3, published in the Government Gazette (Government Gazette B/4271/07-08-2025), imposed the measures of recall and withdrawal of the mobile phone called ULEFONE NOTE 16 PRO, which is manufactured by Shenzhen Gotron Electronic Co., Ltd.

The imposition of these measures was based on tests and inspections carried out by the French Radio Equipment Market Surveillance Authority (ANFR) on the product in question. According to the announcement of the French Authority (no. 2014/53/EU-F-250213-20570), it was found that the product does not comply with the requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU regarding the health and safety of persons and domestic animals (article 3.1.a), as during laboratory tests, the exposure limit values for the general population to radio frequency fields were exceeded.

Therefore, the product was withdrawn and recalled from the French market. Since there was no objection from the European Commission or another Member State within the prescribed period of three months, the measures are now considered justified and are also applied to the Greek market (Article 41 of Presidential Decree 98/2017, Official Gazette 139/A/20.09.2017).

Consequently, economic operators who have placed the ULEFONE NOTE 16 PRO mobile phone (Shenzhen Gotron Electronic Co., Ltd) on the Greek market are required to immediately proceed with the necessary procedures for its recall and withdrawal, informing EETT of their actions. In addition, consumers who have already purchased the specific product can contact their supplier in order to return it. For the convenience of any interested party, all EETT decisions concerning product withdrawals or recalls are available on the Authority's website.
