We waited for her with great anticipation upgrade on Android devices with the new operating system of Google Marshmallow!
The devices that will receive it depend on the manufacturer, so to see if your device will receive the new update, you must go to your manufacturer's site (Sony, Samsung, etc.).
This morning I was upgraded to my smartphone, I would say a little late and I immediately started to go out and see the changes!
Most importantly, in my opinion (I expected it after it was announced and I knew it before) is the option of choosing the user to the rights that every application that we install on our smartphone will get.
Below we will see in steps how we can change the settings in the permissions that the applications get. The smartphone used is a Sony Xperia Z2, but it has nothing to do with it. And any other smartphone with Android 6.0 & 6.0.1 the process is the same.
To see which version Android we have on our smartphone go to Settings. Then we go back to the last option “Phone information” and we will see the following picture (for Sony owners) or something similar for other brand owners.
If the Android version says 6.0 or 6.0.1 then you have the latest official version of Google's operating system.
To see or change the rights of the applications that we installed step by step we go, Settings -> Applications and we choose Settings by menu as shown in the image below.
This, in my opinion, is the most important feature of version 6.0. Owners of devices that have not upgraded to this software version can also check app permissions, but with a more time-consuming process. To see how, click on the Button below.
Other features of 6.0 are as follows:
- Brand new environment cameras.
- Smart battery life with Doze & App Standby.
- Direct Share.
Also various features that depend on the manufacturer. The most important of these are confidentiality settings and optimization of battery life automatically and by default. (Sony owners will notice that Stamina is no longer available).
*Caution to the permissions you will disable. Many applications n mode it depends on them. Viber for example copies your contact list to show you who you can communicate with. It uses the video camera to share photos with your contacts. And it also makes use of the microphone so you can make calls. If you disable any of these, you may not be able to perform certain functions!
