The campaign of Anonymous (Op) Icarus που ξεκίνησε εναντίον του τραπεζικού τομέα φαίνεται να συνεχίζεται, αφού οκτώ νέα χρηματοπιστωτικά ιδρύματα δέχτηκαν attacks DDoS over the past few days since OpIcarus was officially announced.
The first DDoS attacks were received by the Central Bank of Greece, and after a few days the Central Bank of Cyprus.
At the moment it seems that the number of attacks has increased, and that they come from all directions, from multiple Anonymous segments like Ghost Squad Hackers.
The business is transmitted from the account @Op_Icarus on Twitter, who announced DDoS attacks this weekend with the Central Bank of Dominican Republic, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, the Dutch Central Bank and the Central Bank of the Maldives.
A day later, hacking magazine HackRead reported attacks on the Central Bank of Kenya and the National Bank of Panama.
Ghost Squad Hackers team member s1ege reported one attack DDoS on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the member of Anonymous BannedOffline reported similar attacks on the Central Bank of Mexico.
So in less than a week, Anonymous has carried out DDoS in ten of the 160 banks that have threatened in an online manifesto, which includes big names like the Federal Reserve Bank of USA, the World Bank, the IMF, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Bank of England.
