Antergos is a modern, elegant and powerful functional system based on Arch Linux. It was launched under the name Cinnarch, combining the Cinnamon desktop with the Arch Linux distribution.
From then until today project has moved on from its original goals and offers several different desktop options, including: GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphic program installations.
The operating system, like all Arch Linux forks, is not suitable for beginners users on Linux. If you have already worked with Linux, (even with Ubuntu or Mint) you will not have much difficulty.
As mentioned above Antergos has its own Cnchi graphical installer. The installer boots to a GNOME desktop, but during the duration the installer gives the options to choose between several different desktops such as: GNOME 3, Cinnamon, matt, KDE, Xfce and Openbox.
Η connection on network is necessary to start the installation as the Cnchi installer is automatically updated before it.
Today Antergos released a new update version: Antergos 2016.09.03 ISOs are available for download:
