Antergos is a modern, stylish and powerful operating system based on Arch Linux. It began to circulate under the name Cinnarch, combining Cinnamon desktop with the Arch Linux distribution.
Since then, the project has moved beyond its original goals and offers many different desktop options, such as: GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphical installation program.
The operating system, like all Arch Linux forks, is not suitable for Linux beginners. If you have already worked with Linux, (even with Ubuntu or Mint) you will not have much difficulty.
As mentioned before, Antergos has its own graphical installer Cnchi. The boot of the installer is on a GNOME desktop, but during the installation it gives you options to choose from among many different work environments such as: GNOME 3, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, Xfce and Openbox.
The connection to network is necessary to start the installation as the Cnchi installer is automatically updated before it.
Today, Antergos released a new update: Antergos 2016.11.20's ISO is available for download.
