Alex Gajewski announced the release of Apricity OS 07.2016. It is the first fixed build of distribution based on Arch Linux.
The project offers a choice of GNOME and Cinnamon desktops:
"The team of Apricity OS is incredibly pleased to announce the release of Apricity OS 07.2016 “Aspen”, the first stable release of Apricity OS.
Apricity OS 07.2016 Dev, another monthly growth snapshot, was also released. In the latest version, many changes have been made, and the most notable of them is certainly Apricity Freezedry, a system configuration tool that has been integrated into the development build system of Apricity OS.
With a simple archive TOML settings, many aspects of the system can be configured, including GNOME and Cinnamon themes, settings, installed packages, systemd services, and installed Vim plugins. Freezedry has been developed to contain modules, each responsible for controlling a specific aspect of the user's system.
Other changes to the operating system include support for LUKS encryption, a more stable one installer, improved touchpad support and more!”
