Arc Browser, a Chromium-based browser, is now available for Windows. The browser was available as a beta version but you had to join a waiting list.
So if you added your name to the list, and never received an invitation, now is the chance to test him.

Arc Browser is only available for Windows 11. You cannot install it on Windows 10 or any other version of Windows.
It's also not a browser that you install and run right away, because the developers have added several mandatory steps to the installation process.
First, you will need to create an account and there is no option to skip this step. While it's fine for users who want to use the built-in sync feature, it seems quite invasive for those who don't have such plans.
Then you have to choose a browser to enter data and again there is no option to skip this step.
Arc Browser is based on Chromium. This means you can install Chrome extensions without any problems. The downside is that you'll also get any negative functionality Google implements into Chromium.
The privacy policy discloses that Arc may use your email address to contact you. The privacy policy also states that the browser automatically collects product usage data.
Here we should mention that there is also the question of revenue. How will the company earn money to fund development or any other expenses? Until now there is still no answer.

George is still wondering what he is doing here….

I had it installed and it was sending data to a remote IP address, the antivirus was blocked. I wouldn't recommend it.
It will go without a cry.
