According to ABC News, when the victim returned home, he discovered the door open and saw that cash, a checkbook, some credit cards were missing. cards and a watch.
The victim (James Wood) notified her police, and together with the police they discovered that his computer had been linked to an unknown Facebook profile. They realized that in all probability they had before them the face of the robber.
The robber, of course, was arrested and detained, having confessed his guilt and returned the robbery to the injured.
Commenting on this somewhat bizarre arrest, Monica Jensen, a spokeswoman for the Dakota County Attorney's Office, said: "This is the first case in Dakota County where a burglar checks his Facebook profile from the victim's computer."
