Acer has announced two new laptops with Windows 10 at a very reasonable price. Called the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 and 14, they're systems designed to be used like a Chromebook, with a focus on cloud storage.
Both the 11-inch and 14-inch versions of the Aspire One Cloudbooks series run Windows 10. They use processors Intel Celeron, με 2 GB RAM και 1366 x 768 LED backlit οθόνες. Διαθέτουν, επίσης, 802.11ac wireless, ένα πλήρους μεγέθους μια θύρα HDMI, δύο USB και μια υποδοχή κάρτας SD.
Systems will be released with a storage disc on 16, 32 or 64 GB, but this in conjunction with 100 GB and 1 TB onedrive cloud storage for one year (subject to agreement). The choice of 1TB storage is for the larger of the two laptops.
Cloudbooks are designed to work in much the same way as Chromebooks - they do not offer large hard drives, and are cloud-based. Chromebooks have the advantage of running Chrome OS on Google's platform, which means they do not use a lot of system resources.
Prices now start at $169 for the 11-inch model and go up to $199 for the 14-inch system. The smaller laptop will be released later this month, while the larger one will be released in September.
