Are your games stuck or frozen after installing Windows 11 24H2? You are not alone. Microsoft has started blocking Windows 11 24H2 update on PCs that have certain games installed.
Players who had upgraded to the latest OS had reported that they were experiencing issues running Assassin's Creed games. Couldn't start, freezes when loading a save, gets stuck on desktop, etc.
Some of these games were crashing without any error message. The thing is, these are not new problems that appeared yesterday. Many users they said such bugs for almost 4 months when 24H2 was still in preview.
These reports started two months before Windows 11 24H2 was released to all users, but Microsoft only acknowledged the issue a few days ago.
According to an update of Release Health on the company's website, the following games are affected by bugs, loading problems or freezing. Some users may also see an unresponsive black screen.

Avatars: Frontiers of Pandora
Microsoft says it has blocked the Windows 11 24H2 update on PCs that have the aforementioned games installed and advises users NOT to upgrade manually.
