AT & T buys Time Warner for 85,4 for two dollars

AT&T announced Saturday that it is working on a deal to acquire Time Warner. Time Warner is valued at $ 85,4 billion.

Η συγκεκριμένη συμφωνία θα επιτρέπει στην AT&T να προωθεί βίντεο σε εκατομμύρια ασύρματα , U-verse και broadband cables, καθώς και στους συνδρομητές δορυφορικών υπηρεσιών της DirecTV.AT&T

The agreement is expected to be completed by the end of 2017, as companies are awaiting approval by the regulatory committee.

In short, the deal will give AT&T control of Time Warner content companies such as CNN, HBO, DC Comics, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, and more.

AT&T, for its part, said the combined company would seek to become the first U.S. mobile phone provider to compete nationally with cable companies with mobile broadband and video packages.

"This is a perfect match of two companies with complementary forces that can bring a new approach to how the media and communications industry works for customers, content creators, distributors and advertisers," he said. Randall Stephenson, President and CEO of AT&T.

“Premium content always wins. We've seen it before , on the TV screen and now we will see it on the mobile screen. We will have the world's best premium content and the networks to deliver it to every screen.”

The losers from this story will probably be the pirates, if you consider that the company content, will also be the connection provider…
