In the morning we mentioned Microsoft's plans to release Update 2 for Windows 8.1. The company confirmed a new upgrade package for Windows 8.1 and its release date at 12 August, as part of the established Tuesday Patch.
At the same time, the company publicly denied the rumors that reported that the update of Windows 8.1 will be called Update 2.
Her Brandon LeBlanc Microsoft said:
"Despite rumors and speculation, we do not plan to release an Update 2 for Windows 8.1."
On the other hand, Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 8.1 will receive a new major update on August 12, but it will bring big changes to operating system. There will be no long-awaited Start menus.
