New tests carried out by the AV-TEST Safety Institute in August show us the effectiveness of today's antivirus. Below we will see the official results on business performance.
It is important to note that AV-TEST evaluates antivirus with three tests that have as protection, performance and usability axes.
As expected, the companies that took the first place in the business environment were Bitdefender and Kaspersky.
Two security products from Bitdefender and Kaspersky for the solutions they offer to Windows 7 businesses took 6 at 6 points in each of the three tests, reaching a total of 18 points. Trend Micro followed with 6 points for protection and usability and 5,5 performance points.
Symantec business solutions received 6 points for protection, 5 performance points, and 6 for usability, while AVG took from 5.5 points in each AV-TEST test.
If you are looking for Microsoft products, do not. Redmond's security products are not encouraging.
Specifically, Microsoft only took 3,5 units for protection, which means that malware can do partying, but on the other hand it got 5 points for performance, and 5,5 for usability.
