AV TEST June 2019 tests: Windows Defender is now one of the world's top antivirus products, according to a study conducted by its security researchers German Institute AV-TEST.

The latest tests carried out by AV TEST report that Windows Defender offers very reliable performances, like the products of companies that deal only with better safety (Kaspersky και Symantec).
Specifically, Windows Defender managed to score a final 18 score on German tests, taking six points in tests that evaluate product protection, performance and usability.
Only three other applications managed to get the top ranking: F-Secure SAFE, Kaspersky Internet Security and Symantec Norton Security.
Products developed by other leading security vendors such as Avast Free Antivirus, AVG Internet Security, Bitdefender Internet Security, Trend Micro Internet Security and VIPRE Security AdvancedSecurity each received 17,5 points, losing half a point in one of the three test categories we mentioned above.
Webroot SecureAnywhere had the lowest score with 11,5 points after receiving 2 points for protection, 5,5 points for performance and 4 points for usability.
Windows Defender comes built-in with the operating system system of Microsoft Windows 10.
