AV TEST: Windows Defender one of the best antivirus

AV TEST tests June 2019: Windows Defender is now one of the top productτα προστασίας από ιούς παγκοσμίως, σύμφωνα με έρευνα που διεξήγαγαν οι ερευνητές security of German Institute AV-TEST.

Microsoft is not just a company developing security software, but it has managed to make Windows Defender, the embedded Windows 10 antivirus a very good and trusted product.

The latest tests conducted by AV TEST report that Windows Defender offers very reliable performance, such as security products for companies (Kaspersky and Symantec).

In particular, Windows Defender managed to have a final score 18 points in the tests of the German company, receiving from six points in tests that evaluate the protection, performance and usability of the product.

Only three other applications managed to receive the top rating: F-Secure SAFE, Kaspersky Internet applications Security and Symantec Norton Security.

Products developed by other leading security vendors, such as Avast Free Antivirus, AVG Internet Security, Bitdefender Internet Security, Trend Micro Internet Security and VIPRE Security AdvancedSecurity, received 17,5 points losing half a point in one of the three categories of the tests mentioned above.

Webroot SecureAnywhere had the lowest score with 11,5 points after receiving 2 points for protection, 5,5 points for performance and 4 points for usability.

Windows Defender comes built-in with the operating system of Microsoft Windows 10.

The latest version of Windows 10, (May 2019 Update or 1903 version), features Windows Security, which groups Windows security. Contains antivirus, account protection features, firewall, device security, parental controls and more.
