Avast Wi-Fi Finder: Security company Avast has just released a Android app that allows users to find fast and secure Wi-Fi connections.
The app is called Wi-Fi Finder and is the result of a crowdsourcing program enabled by the company through Avast Mobile Security gather data about nearby Wi-Fi hotspots.
According to the developers, the app has the feature collectionof data from Wi-Fi hotspots and each hotspot's security level is evaluated before the connection appears in Wi-Fi Finder.
This way the users of the application will be able to connect to the fastest, and the fastest safe hotspots, according to Avast.
The list of Wi-Fi hotspots you'll find using the Android app has been suggested by users near you.
Also, another useful feature included in the app is the fact that you will be able to access password-protected Wi-Fi access as Avast users have already saved their passwords.
Of course, this feature will not be available for any protected Wi-Fi hotspot.
