Avast Wi-Fi Finder: Avast has just released an Android application that allows users to find fast and secure Wi-Fi connections.
The application is called Wi-Fi Finder and is the result of a crowdsourcing program that enabled the company through Avast Mobile Security to gather data on nearby Wi-Fi points.
According to developers, the application has the ability to collect data from a Wi-Fi hotspot and each level of security of the hotspot is evaluated before the connection to the Wi-Fi Finder appears.
So users of the application will be able to connect to the fastest, and most secure hotspots, according to Avast.
The list of Wi-Fi hotspots you'll find using the Android app has been suggested by users near you.
Another useful feature included in the app is that you will be able to access password-protected Wi-Fi as Avast users have already saved their passwords.
Of course, this feature will not be available for any protected Wi-Fi hotspot.
