BackBox Linux is an Ubuntu-based distribution used for security evaluations and penetration testing. The project has just been released in a new stable version, BackBox Linux 4.7. The new version upgrades key components of the distribution and fixes many bugs.
"OR team of BackBox is pleased to announce the BackBox Linux 4.7 update. We thought of releasing a new minor release to give our users a chance to have a stable updated system until the next official major release, which is BackBox 5 which is still under development.
In this version we have fixed some minor bugs, kernel, basic system and some tools. ”
The ISOs pictures for 32-bit architectures and 64-bit exist at the end of the post.
What's new:
New 4.4 Linux kernel, and updated hacking tools metasploit, OpenVAS, SE Toolkit, sqlmap, WPScan.
Anyone who uses earlier versions (BackBox 4.x) can upgrade to the latest version rather than reinstalling it.
