BMW parking by smartwatch

Η BMW is working on the development of a new remote-controlled parking system, which can even be operated by a smartwatch.bmw smartwatch

The full sensor BMW i3, which will be at the International CES του 2015, στο , τον Ιανουάριο, επικοινωνεί με το smartwatch του κατόχου και μπορεί να παρκάρει μόνο του.

The system works with sensors laser, which scan the surrounding area to avoid conflicts. The function is connected to a digital map, so the car's computer also has knowledge of the whole area around it.

The platform to avoid s 360-degree, is the safe recognition of the car's position and environment. Four advanced laser scanners record the environment and reliably identify obstacles such as columns, for example, in a large car park. If the vehicle approaches a wall or pillar too quickly, the braking system is automatically activated to prevent a collision. The vehicle stops with great centimeter precision. If the driver turns the steering wheel, the system releases the brakes. This system helps the driver to park in places with low visibility in complete safety and like all BMW assistance systems, it can be overridden at any time by the driver.

BMW has been working on such systems for some time now and has tested 2009 and 2011 with fully automated systems. Other companies such as Tesla and Google, have presented their own "autopilot" vehicles. So we are not far from falling asleep during our car journey, just like we see on imagination.
