Yesterday was the awarding of the 85 Oscar award contest and so all the eyes fell on LA
The film Searching for Sugar Man won the award for best documentary and its contributors shared some of the ingredients of their success and how their work managed to win both the Oscar and a host of other awards.
One of these components was the use of an iPhone to download specific videos used for the documentary. It may have happened because, as director Malik Bendjelloul reveals to us, at some point the budget ran out and in order to add some videos, he turned to his favorite device, the iPhone, daringly, but in the end the iPhone videos did not reduce the quality of his effort at all.
So Malik Bendjelloul with an iPhone 4s and the application 8mm Vintage Camera managed to complete his project successfully and reached the highest step holding the coveted statuette of the Oscars yesterday.
