"We experienced a huge demand this morning, as we had over 12.000 orders per minute and unfortunately, our servers did not lift the load and fell.
We only had a limited number of devices for sale. More will be available for sales to be made during the month.

Keep in mind that all orders for Ubuntu smartphones will not be delivered in any case until March, ”BQ told Google+.

According to the company, initial sales were stopped due to some issues presented to the server that could not accept the workload.

The first sale began at 9 in the morning CET (Central European Time) and ended prematurely three hours later. Because some devices were available, BQ decided to make a second sale at 15: 00 CET, which lasted exactly 10 minutes.

BQ promised to make more sales this month, assuring them that all markets will be delivered in March. Currently, the device is sold only to citizens of the European Union, but Canonical plans to release Ubuntu smartphones in the US market in the next six months, according to Cristian Parrino, vice president of mobile devices.
