British man Andrew Meldrum, 30, of Crosslet Vale, Greenwich, London, was found guilty of voyeurism and piracy σε τρεις υπολογιστές. Οι αρχές τον κατηγόρησαν ότι παρακολουθούσε τρεις Women όταν απέκτησε πρόσβαση στις κάμερες τους με hacking on their computers.
Meldrum was arrested in November 2012 when a 21-year-old woman contacted the police after discovering spyware installed on her computer. She told authorities she suspected Meldrum, as he had helped her with her computer. The authorities after investigations discovered two other women who were "connected" to Meldrum's computer.
In the third victim, a woman aged 28 years, had her computer malware for about 15 months before being discovered.
The suspect was released free on bail pending trial held last week.
"It was a complex and prolonged investigation that involved detailed examination and evaluation of computer files," commented Nick Pailthorpe, a researcher at Southwark Police Station.
"I would like to thank all the witnesses in this investigation, but especially the three victims who provided information on the subject that was clearly very personal," he added.
