The known company Casio presented at this year's CES its first smartwatch, which it calls the Smart Outdoor Watch.
The new device is powered by Android Wear and is trying to make available to the public features that are nowhere in the market today.
The Casio SmartWatch comes with two different displays, one monochrome and one that features 16 million colors. The latter is used for standard SmartWatch operation, while the former comes into play for those who wish to have a longer lifespan batterys.
How much time; Casio reports that the device's battery can last up to 30 days using the monochrome display, but this means that all SmartWatch display features will be turned off.
Casio's device has a 1,32-inch display with a resolution of 320×300 pixels, which has a compass, displays pressure and altitude, sunrise and sunset. The watch is waterproof and according to the company it can work fine in water up to 50 meters deep.
It doesn't have GPS though, so you'll have to plug it into the phone to use your phone's GPS sensor.
Kazuhiro Kashio, president of the Japanese company, told CES that while Apple actually brought a new device to the market, many people are buying the Apple watch but then they do not know what to do.
While Casio's SmartWatch can be worn on a daily basis.
Casio suggested that SmartWatch could begin to sell in the United States for about 500 dollars.
It will be available in various colors, such as orange, red, black and green.
