From this date on, all the friends of the distribution are waiting for its free version CentOS 8.0.1905 why Red Hat “Enterprise”Costs… Among the friends I am personally, as the CentOS is a distribution I have been using for many years (since version 4.5 onwards).
The operating system is mostly used for "setting up" servers, but it works perfectly and as desktop for all those who are more interested in stability, despite the latest versions of the packages.
So I personally expect the new distribution because it will also contain new libraries which means it will support newer applications.
The operating system CentOS is developed by a community of open source partners. Typically its users CentOS are companies and individuals who do not need strong commercial support for their operating system.
Today, of course, the data has changed. The news is that distribution developers have announced on the development progress page, the release date.
We look forward to following the timetable set by the devs of distribution and getting the popular operating system soon.
The release of the new release is an important milestone in the history of distribution as well each version of it CentOS maintained for up to 10 years (via security updates).
A new version of it CentOS is released approximately every 2 years and each edition CentOS is updated periodically (approximately every 6 months) to support newer hardware. This leads to a secure, low-maintenance, reliable, predictable, and reproducible Linux environment.
Distribution is one of the most stable on the market, and I prefer it for systems I work with, along with distribution Debian, which is equally stable and reliable.
