CentOS 8.0.1905 comes on 24 September 2019

CentOS 8.0.1905: As you may know, Red Hat Linux 8 has been released on 7 May at 2019.

From this one and then, all friends of the distribution are waiting for the free version of CentOS 8.0.1905 because Red Hat “Enterprise” costs… Friends include me personally, since CentOS is a distribution that I have been using for many years (since version 4.5 and after).

The operating system is mostly used for "setting up" servers, but it works perfectly as a desktop for all those who are more interested in stability, despite the latest versions of the packages.

So personally I am waiting for the new distribution because it will also contain new libraries which means it will support newer ones .

The CentOS operating system is developed by a community of open source contributors. Typically CentOS users are and people who do not need strong commercial support for their operating system.

8 CentOS

But as we had mentioned to previous publication, the development of the upcoming CentOS 8.0.1905 that started almost immediately, for some time seems to be is stuck.

Today, of course, the data has changed. The news is that distribution developers have announced on the development progress page, the release date.

We look forward to following the timetable set by the devs of distribution and getting the popular operating system soon.

The release of the new release is an important milestone in the history of distribution as well each version of CentOS is maintained for up to 10 years (via updates ).

A new version of CentOS is released approximately every 2 years, and each CentOS release is updated periodically (approximately every 6 months) to support newer hardware. This leads to a secure, low-maintenance, reliable, predictable, and reproducible Linux environment.

Distribution is one of the most stable ones available, and I prefer it for systems I work with, along with Debian distribution, which is just as stable and reliable.
