Johnny Hughes announced the availability of an updated version of CentOS, a Linux distribution built from source code of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
The new version is called CentOS 8.4.2105 and comes from RHEL 8.4:
"We are pleased to announce the general availability of its latest release CentOS Linux 8. It is the current version for CentOS Linux 8 and is labeled 2105, which is derived from the source code of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4.
The updates that have been released concern all architectures.
We strongly recommend every user to install all updates, on their existing CentOS Linux 8 machine with 'dnf update' command.
This version adds the following new software versions to the module streams: Python 3.9, SWIG 4.0, Subversion 1.14, Redis 6, PostgreSQL 13, MariaDB 10.5.
Several rolling AppStream have been upgraded to newer versions: LLVM Toolset 11.0.0, Rust Toolset 1.49.0, Go Toolset 1.15.7. "
