CentOS 8: The CentOS project, is a 100% compatible respconstruction of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in full compliance with Red Hat's per-distribution requirements. Yesterday noon we have released the release of installation ISO before the official release.
So last night, the developers of the CentOS project released the long-awaited new release: the CentOS 8.0.1905 release is here.
The new release is based on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.0 source code, and comes in two major versions depending on your needs: CentOS Linux and CentOS Steam.
The announcement states:
Now there are two ways to use it platform of CentOS, CentOS Linux and CentOS Stream.
CentOS Linux is a rebuild of the freely available Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) resources. CentOS Stream is a distribution intermediary that provides a route to participate in the creation of the next version of RHEL
Both versions are available in offline and net-install (boot).

CentOS Stream is a rolling distribution that acts as a middle ground between Fedora's cutting edge packages and fixed, long-term Red Hat Enterprise Linux packages.
