Hoax humanity at CERN?

You saw the human sacrifice in ; Ένα βίντεο που δημοσιεύτηκε ταυτόχρονα στο YouTube και στη σελίδα του “Stranger Than Fiction News” on August 11, 2016 (entitled “MURDER AT CERN – DISTURBING HUMAN SACRIFICE VIDEO SURFACES”) purported to depict a human sacrifice performed by researchers at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).

What you might have followed would probably be noticeable on all major websites. Of course the queries after this video are many and the dominant is one:

Was this really done at CERN?

Let's start from the beginning. But before we begin we will mention that the news is and confirms it and Snopes which deals with revealing false news. black and white

CERN has confirmed the presence of the Shiva statue that is there to honor the Organization's relationship with India, a relationship lasting around half a century:

“The Shiva statue was a gift from India to celebrate its relationship with CERN, which began in the 1960s and remains strong today. In the Hindu religion, Shiva dances Nataraj a dance that symbolizes Shakti, or life force. This deity was chosen from the Indian , because of a metaphor that makes a comparison between the cosmic dance of Nataraj and the modern study of the “cosmic dance” of subatomic particles….. The statue of Shiva is just one of the many statues and works of art at CERN.”

Is Video Real?

No, this video is a fantasy project. CERN fills with visitors from all over the world in the summer. They come to CERN as part of their work, and some of them occasionally let their sense of humor go too far, and that is what has happened in this case too. CERN does not tolerate such mockery.

One millionof CERN told Snopes that the video was a hoax that first appeared online in August 2016 and added about the rumors and fanciful theories that occasionally surface:

CERN research captures the imagination of theorists, scientists, students, artists and creative thinkers. This is why CERN has been featured in books such as "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown but also in art applications around the world.
These imaginative and creative works inspired by scientific research are fictional works that are created to capture the reader's sense of wonder. So they should not be confused with actual scientific research

CERN floods with international visitors during the summer, many of whom are aware of established conspiracy theories and who choose to make it happen.
