Η company Nikon surprised everyone yesterday by announcing a completely new type of action cameras at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The Nikon KeyMission 360 is a new wearable, waterproof action camera that can capture 360-degree footage in 4K.
The camera KeyMission 360 is Nikon's first effort for an action camera, and features a robust exterior that can handle all of your outdoor adventures. It is waterproof to 30m (~ 100 feet) and is resistant to dust, shock, and low temperatures. There is also electronic vibration damping (VR) that helps reduce camera shake while playing video through Nikon applications.
Inside the camera there is an image sensor and two lenses on the opposite sides of the device. When joined together, the final image is a single ultra-high-definition 360-grade video.
The Nikon KeyMission 360 will be officially released in spring 2016. The exact price and its availability have not yet been announced.
