B) Enter a value between -120 (thinner bar) in -1500 (thicker bar) and click OK. The default value is -255.

The value uses the following formula: -15 x width you want in pixels.
For example: -15 x 17 = -255

5. To change the length of the scroll bar and make it smaller or larger

A) In the right part of the WindowsMetrics key, double-click the ScrollHeight string to modify it.

B) Enter a value between -120 (shorter) to -1500 (longer) for whatever length you want, then click OK. The default value is -255.

Value also uses the same mathematical formula: -15 x length you want in pixels.
For example: -15 x 17 = -255

6. When you are finished, quit the Registry Editor. Changes will be saved automatically.

7. Restart explorer to apply your changes.
