Google has just released Chrome 81 on all supported platforms: Windows, Linux and Mac. THE new edition is 81.0.4044.92 and includes several notable improvements such as support of the Web NFC API, which means that web applications can finally use embedded NFC.
In other words, if your device is connected to an NFC, web apps can use it through Google Chrome, either for transport data or for other functions.
Google reports that Fixed a total of 32 security vulnerabilities with this version, and once again donated thousands of dollars to investigators who reported the bugs.
There are three security vulnerabilities that have been identified as critical: two use after free (one in extensions and another in audio) and one out of bounds read bug in WebSQL.
Note that Chrome 81 is the first update to be released during it pandemic, and the company has stated that it will completely skip version 82.
Google he said Chrome 83 will be released soon, and the new version will be released in mid-May, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled.
